HAMEX – My Hands Remember
HAMEX turns to the physical side of memory on “My Hands Remember”, a song from MORPH, the five-track project built around emotions that remain after an experience has passed. Its title suggests that memories can persist not only as thoughts but also through familiar gestures and bodily habits.
The collection develops that idea across several related situations, beginning with absence and moving through physical memory, sleeplessness and emotional distance. This sequence gives MORPH the shape of a connected exploration of attachment rather than a collection of unrelated songs.
HAMEX’s musical identity draws on Afro house, Afro tech, Afro chill and electronic pop. Before releasing music under his own name, he worked for years as a producer, and his approach reflects an interest in creating distinct moods within a broader electronic sound.
His record “Hey Mama” travelled widely, surpassing four million Spotify streams and generating substantial use in TikTok videos. MORPH moves into a more personal register, extending his catalogue with a project centred on what people carry with them after relationships and experiences change.
