Dlala Thukzin – Usizi Ft. JNR SA, Sykes & Argento Dust
Dlala Thukzin brings JNR SA, Sykes and Argento Dust together on “Usizi”, the fifth track on his 10-song album Ember. Released worldwide on October 30, 2026, the project is issued under Dlala Records and continues his exploration of South African electronic dance music.
Usizi is a Zulu word associated with sadness, sorrow or grief, giving the title an emotional meaning. The combination of JNR SA, Sykes and Argento Dust places three collaborators alongside Thukzin, with the track running for approximately six minutes and 26 seconds.
Thukzin is one of the South African producers whose work has moved between gqom, amapiano, Afro-house and 3-step without being confined to one category. His career began attracting national attention through production work for Babes Wodumo, and he later developed a strong solo profile with releases such as “Phuze”, “iPlan” and “Ama Gear”.
JNR SA’s involvement across more than one track on the album also makes his contribution part of a wider creative connection within the project. Sykes and Argento Dust add further names to a guest list that reflects Thukzin’s continued relationships with artists in the South African dance scene.
