Dlala Thukzin – Sobuye Sbonane Ft. Zeh McGeba

Zeh McGeba’s appearance adds another vocalist to a project built around several collaborations rather than a collection of solo instrumental records. The track runs for approximately five minutes and 38 seconds, giving it a substantial place within the album’s dance-focused running order.

Thukzin has built his name by working across gqom, amapiano, Afro-house and 3-step, drawing on the dance culture of Durban while developing a sound that reaches beyond South Africa. His production career gained early attention through Babes Wodumo’s “Umngan’wami”, while records such as “iPlan”, “Phuze” and “Ama Gear” strengthened his position in the country’s dance scene.

Zeh McGeba joins a wider list of collaborators that includes Sino Msolo, Sykes, Kabza De Small, Young Stunna and Felo Le Tee. The pairing adds to Thukzin’s established approach of bringing different performers into his production work, while giving the album a varied set of vocal contributions.
