Coconut Rootz – One Day, One Day

Coconut Rootz is the musical project of Benson Ainebyona, a songwriter, composer and producer whose catalogue draws from reggae, ska, rocksteady and lovers rock. He handles the creative work behind the project, keeping its identity closely connected to traditional reggae influences while developing a catalogue of original songs for contemporary listeners.

The idea of looking towards a better day sits naturally alongside other Coconut Rootz releases that address relationships, disappointment and the need to keep moving despite setbacks. Rather than relying on an elaborate concept, the title gives the song a straightforward point of connection for listeners dealing with uncertainty in their own lives.

With One Day, Coconut Rootz continues to build its catalogue around themes that are easy to recognise beyond any one location or experience. The project gives the artist room to explore hope from a personal perspective while maintaining the reggae foundation that informs his wider body of work.

As a standout record on the One Day album, this song strengthens the project’s overall impact while showcasing the artist’s consistency and growth.
