Xstar Songs – Akhian Ft. Wilson Ehigiator Akobeghian

Akhian moves on a melodic, organically grounded production that draws from indigenous Edo musical sensibilities and blends them with a contemporary gospel arrangement that feels respectful rather than reductive, giving the lyrical content space to communicate its spiritual meaning clearly and directly. Wilson Ehigiator Akobeghian brings a vocal authority to the record that is rooted in genuine ministry rather than performance and the whole thing carries an atmosphere of reverence that makes it feel less like a song playing and more like something actually happening in the room.

Xstar Songs has been doing meaningful work in the Nigerian gospel music space with a particular focus on culturally grounded Edo worship content that serves a community often underrepresented in the broader Christian music conversation. Their collaborative approach to recording brings together voices with genuine cultural and spiritual credibility and the result across their releases is a body of work that feels like it belongs to a specific people while remaining open to anyone willing to receive what it is offering.

This record has the kind of spiritual gravity that settles into a room before you have consciously registered that anything has changed, the sort of gospel music that does what it was made to do without asking you first whether you were ready for it.
