Silloh – Second Guessing

Silloh puts a familiar struggle into Second Guessing, a title that speaks to those moments when a decision has been made but the mind keeps returning to it.
It can begin with something small. You send a message, then wonder whether it sounded wrong. You accept an opportunity, then question whether you should have waited. Sometimes you replay a conversation so many times that you start imagining problems that were never there. Thinking things through can help us avoid mistakes, but constant doubt can turn ordinary decisions into exhausting exercises.
The difficult part is knowing when reflection has stopped being useful. It is sensible to consider the consequences of a choice and listen to advice from people you trust. However, no amount of thinking can guarantee that everything will work out exactly as planned. Life involves uncertainty, and sometimes a person has to make the best decision possible with the information available at the time.
Relationships can make this habit even harder to manage. When somebody’s behaviour changes, it is easy to revisit every conversation and search for an explanation. That does not mean every worry is correct, though. An honest conversation may provide more clarity than another night spent trying to solve the matter alone. The title leaves room for these different situations without establishing which one the lyrics address.
Second Guessing has a subject that many people will recognise from personal experience. Learning to reconsider a choice when necessary, while still allowing yourself to move forward, is a difficult but useful part of growing in confidence.
