Portable – Joki Na Joke
Portable adds another street-pop title to his catalogue with “Joki na Joke”. The release comes from an artist whose public identity and music have remained closely connected to the expressive language and everyday references of Nigerian street culture.
Portable, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, rose to national attention with “Zazoo Zehh”, featuring Olamide and Poco Lee. The song became a major turning point in his career and introduced his energetic delivery to a much wider audience.
His catalogue includes projects such as Chosen One and numerous collaborations with artists across street-pop and Afrobeats. His approach often draws on Yoruba expressions, street slang and direct conversational lines, giving his records a recognisable connection to the environment from which his music emerged.
This release adds another title to his steady run of independent music. Portable’s growing catalogue continues to document an artist who has built a strong presence through frequent releases and a distinctive public persona.
